Nominator's project description

Professor Eva Hevia is an internationally well recognised molecular synthetic chemist working at the interface of inorganic and organic chemistry. With her research, Eva Hevia has succeeded in building several bridges between these two sub-disciplines and establishing holistic concepts. Her work ranges from fundamental questions of the targeted activation of selected bonds to contributions to catalysis and industrially relevant applications that are of great value in terms of green chemistry. During her stay in Germany, she hopes to further explore the cooperative effects resulting from the combination of two different metals in order to escape the limitations of the periodic table and develop new reactivities and materials through targeted element-element combinations.
